CAREER TO DATE

2005

I first began racing motorcycles in 2005 when I won the Irish Minimoto Championship. Later that year I was honoured to be presented with the David Wood Award for Irish Motorcycling’s up and coming rider of the year.

2006

In the ideal world I would have moved from minimotos to 125cc machines, however the costs of racing a competitive 125cc machine were prohibitive, therefore we chose to compete in the Irish Super Sport series for 2006. This was a relatively successful first season for me on ‘big bikes’. I enjoyed the challenge of learning the tracks while maintaining a good competitive standard throughout the season. I finished runner-up in the Irish Super Sport championship, and was once again delighted to receive the ‘Irish Bike’ young rider of the year award in my first season competing in the series.

2007

At the end of 2006 we took the decision that for 2007 we would contest the British Super Stock series and spend a season learning the British circuits. We chose to race a Suzuki K7 throughout the 2007 season, and while this took a little getting used to, it was a very rewarding and enjoyable. I feel the experience of racing the K7 has certainly helped improve my overall knowledge and skill not only in terms of race experience, but also with regards to bike setup and personal performance.

2008

Ahead of the 2008 season we pooled our financial resources and purchased a Yamaha R6 to contest the British 600 Super Stock series. Thanks to the fantastic support I received from personal sponsors, in 2008 we had the opportunity to work with a professional team. The Raceways Yamaha team took us under their wing and helped us secure the British 600 Superstock championship.

2009

Following on from our excellent relationship with Raceways Yamaha, we were presented with the opportunity to join the team for 2009 where we will contest the Supersport championship on board a Raceways R6 Yamaha...Bring it on!
